December 21

we're coming up on the autumnal equinox (Sept. 23), one of two twenty-four hour periods each year that is perfectly bisected by night and day. the autumn season begins here and ends with the winter solstice, the shortest period of daylight for 2010. This year the winter solstice is both a full moon and a total lunar eclipse
