Football and Spore

Been a minute since I have contributed an update, and here are a few interesting things I would like to add. First and foremost the US Men's Olympic Team was announced today. It is one of the best squads we have assembled, and I think they should do well in the tournament.

Jozy Altidore (left) and Freddy Adu (right)

Here's the squad:

Goalkeepers: Brad Guzan (Chivas USA / soon to be Aston Villa), Chris Seitz (Real Salt Lake)

Defenders: Patrick Ianni (Houston Dynamo), Michael Orozco (San Luis), Michael Parkhurst (New England Revolution), Nathan Sturgis (Real Salt Lake), Marvell Wynne (Toronto FC)

Midfielders: Freddy Adu (SL Benfica), Michael Bradley (SC Heerenveen), Maurice Edu (Toronto FC), Benny Feilhaber (Derby County), Stuart Holden (Houston Dynamo), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Danny Szetela (Brescia Calcio)

Forwards: Jozy Altidore (Villarreal), Charlie Davies (Hammarby IF), Brian McBride (out of contract), Robbie Rogers (Columbus Crew)

Coach: Peter Nowak

Those highlighted in bold font are players I feel will have a big impact in the tournament. The only foreseeable problem is we drew a tough group, which contains the Netherlands, Japan, and Nigeria. Dave remember where you come from.

Last but not least Will Wright, creator of Sim City and The Sims, has released the first glimpse of his newest game Spore. Its a free character creator that will upload your created character into the full version of the game when it is released. There is also a version of the program that costs money, but allows for more customization.
