WCQ: US 3 - 0 T & T

The US trampled Trinidad & Tobago on our return to home soil. The scoring started in the 9' with a Beasley (Rangers FC) free kick that was redirected by Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy) and flicked in by Michael Bradley (Borussia Monchengladbach.) The second goal came off a one-two between Demarcus Beasley and Clint Dempsey. The final goal came in the 57' minute when Brian Ching (Houston Dynamo) headed in another Beasley free kick. Man of the match has to go to Beasley who seemed to continuously orchestrate beautiful one-twos, and he assisted all 3 goals.

The only compliant that I could have with the match would be that the US seem to rest on our laurels towards the end of the game, and this has been a constant problem with our team. I can recall just a month ago the US blew a 2-1 lead over the Netherlands in the Olympics, due to our inability to play a full 90 minutes. I mean, we won today's match 3-0 so we played well, but when you are on the road to World Cup 2010 you must always remember that Italy, England, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands are only 18 matches away.

Here's a dope video of Beasley destroying the Eredivisie when he played for PSV Eindhoven in 04-05:
