"Es como un sueño de niño"

The geologic processes that create lead and silver also provide raw materials for crystals. At about 136°F, beneath the earth in a remote part of northern Mexico, minerals in water began converting to selenite thousands of years ago. Due to conditions that remained unchanged for millennia- molecules laid down like tiny bricks formed the crystals in Cueva de los Cristales, the Cave of Crystals...Experts say the grains appear to be 30,000 years old and are some of the largest discovered on earth. The crystals also suggest that this part of Mexico, the Chihuahuan Desert, was once covered by forest. Check out Crystal Place for more flics and words.
