Prospect One New Orleans

Prospect One is a new art biennial that just took place from November 1, 2008 to January 18, 2009. Unfortunately I did not make it this year, but it will be happening every other year from now on. The project included 81 artists from all over the world. Many traditional art venues were used to show work, but what made this show special was the use of abandoned spaces. Various schools, churches, and other buildings that were damaged from the hurricane became homes to enormous art installations, turning the entire city into a treasure hunt for art gems.
