Skip Carey dies at 69, Atlanta loses a legend

Skip Carey has announced Braves games on TBS and the radio my entire life. His nasally delivery of the balls and strikes has defined our team for three decades. He called the World Series in 1995 when we broke the 100 year curse, and he witnessed all 14 consecutive division titles. He was one of the few people in Atlanta Fulton County Stadium during the terrible seasons of 87-89. Skip Carey was one of a dying breed in baseball that understood loyalty and stuck with his team. Carey loved the Braves and he loved Atlanta. He will surely be missed.

I loved Skip. He was great and now he is gone. We should appreciate Pete while we still have him.
