Real War

What is real war? real war is total war and total war is war on civilians. after the middle ages we decided we were going to take about a few century break from total war because... well its just plain fucked up. involving the citizenry in the affairs of the military doesnt really prove that you are militarily superior, it shows that you are goddamned crazy enough to ruin the lives of everyone in your path in whatever given country to such an extent that it wont be worth the damage incurred for the other side to keep fighting.

after viewing a good bit of terry jones' medieval lives (its great you should peek it) i couldnt help but wonder why we returned to real war after the middle ages. its primitive and unnecessary but unfortunately it sometimes works.
