The Remains of Detroit

Check this photo essay about the decay of our nations urban areas. In this case, Detroit. It's amazing how such magnificent and grandiose structures could be erected, used for a short period, abandoned and left to crumble in such a short period of time (less than a century). Meanwhile, the suburbs explode in a mundane mess of particle board, sending our nation in a downward spiral of over-expansion, environmental devastation, and financial debt. Enjoy!
