WCQ: USA v. Cuba

Clint Dempsey scored a 37th minute goal that allowed the Americans to slide past Cuba 1-0 in Havana. A small contingent of American fans went to the historic match, but they were forced to mask their faces to escape INS inquires when they return to the United States. This is the first of two derbies between the US and Cuba in the Semifinal round of World Cup Qualifying. The next match between the two teams is on October 11 in Washington D.C. If anyone is interested in attending the match there is a group of Atlanta supporters making the trek to D.C. to see our boys solidify their World Cup berth. Email us if you are planning on going to the derby, I'll be there.

They are replaying the match today at 1:30 on ESPN 2.
